A free DVD of The Drowsy Chaperone for each pit orchestra member is available in the BHS reception area for pickup. Please help us spread word to seniors and others who may not get this message.
A reminder that our second day of New Member Camp will take place tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, from 6-9 at BHS. All are welcome and encouraged to come and connect with our newest Highlanders...they're impressive so far!
We'll also end the evening with a social of sorts...please bring a dessert or appetizer to share with our newest members.
Finally, attached is some info about the TOB All-Star Marching Band. One of our recent graduates, Jill Weida, participated in this program last year and had a great experience. Check it out!
Don't forget about our leadership/planning meeting on Thursday, May 28, from 3:00 to 5:00 in the band room. We'll try out some team building games and plan for next week's New Member Camp. Attendance is mandatory for our section leaders but everyone (especially rising seniors!) is encouraged to attend!
Please visit http://www.takeashotcontest.org/ and vote for our own Jill Weida's video: "The A in STEAM". You may vote once per browser/device. Good luck Jill!
Congratulations to our 2015 Music Department Seniors!

We've added a new volunteer packet to our documents page. The application process is the same but this new packet hopefully clarifies what is needed to become an approved district chaperone. If you have not already submitted your application please check out this new packet to make sure you have all you need.
What a week for BHS Music! Congratulations to our Symphonic Concert Band on a phenomenal performance at Tuesday's concert. And congrats to the cast, pit, and crew of our spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, on an amazing ten Gene Kelly nominations! We are so proud of all of you!
We look forward to seeing you at Friday's Jazz Night at HMS. Please considering bringing a dessert or appetizer to share. The concert starts at 7 and will feature the BHS Stage Band, HMS Jazz Band, and a special performance by PES music teacher Mike Clancy and his combo. See you there!
Another superb video from BHS Band senior Jill Weida.
On Saturday, April 25, we will be hosting the TIA Chapter 8 Championship here at Baldwin and WE NEED HELP! This is a huge event involving hundreds of performs and spectators. We need assistance from students and parents to assist in running the event. We also are seeking donations of Haluski (check out the documents page for the recipe under Marching Info) and baked goods (packaged in bags suitable for sale for $1). If you are involved in our music program in any way (or if you need volunteer hours or just want to help) please consider joining us. We will start work at 9 AM but help is welcome any time during the day...the event will likely run until well after dinner time.
